Taekwondo: |
3rd Dan Black Belt
I've been practicing for 10yrs (started in 2010, but had to take 2 years off for an Achilles tendon surgery repair). Taekwondo has changed my life. I started training with my kids, so that we would have something to do together, but it has become a passion for me. I didn't used to be terribly active, but I'm much healthier (physically and mentally) now than I have ever been. I work hard to do the best I can at all aspects of taekwondo. I love my TKD friends and family!!

I enjoy the structured approach to fitness, getting rewarded for my progress with new belts/stars, and building relationships with the masters and other students. I also like having a safe space to try hard things that I will not be good at to start, taekwondo is a great place to rise to challenges and improve myself. It’s not a matter of competing with others, but coming into every class a little better than I was the day before.
